Dear Everyone
We know you are waiting and waiting... and that we are way behind schedule.  We are deeply sorry and completely understand your impatience and frustration. We must admit that we did not imagine that the process would take that long and that we would have so many unforeseen challenges.

Cabinets awaiting assembly

Shipment beginning soon

Below we have given an overview on the process and the different reasons for being so delayed. But before that and to cut a long story short, we have finally received a delivery date for the batteries that were the last components missing due to the Covid shut down of their factory. Shipment will be in December-January for Kickstarter backers and in January-February for pre-orders. So you'll still need to have some patience with us. We’ll try to be as open and honest about the challenges in return.

Why did it take so long?

In January we were all set when shortage of materials set in. Firstly, due to increased demand and from February due to the war in Ukraine. At the same time several shutdowns and delays due to Covid primarily in China. We waited months where we couldn't get any order confirmations. We soon realized that our timeline and delivery dates could not be met although product development were on track. Delivery was postponed to April, then July, then late September, October, and November. And here we are...
Series 0 ready for testing end of September
We received the first samples of woofers, tweeters, and grills in May. The first test batch of electronics and battery beginning of September. During September all remaining components were ordered with an expected delivery time of 3-4 weeks. Again, factory shutdowns...

Optimistic timeline & unforeseen challenges

To be completely transparent, the initial timeline was probably a bit optimistic. Many startups are optimistic in the planning both because of eagerness and impatience but also since it is extremely difficult to foresee all activities and actions. Kickstarter even mention that it is not uncommon for delays to go over six months. We are now part of statistics...!

Processes took longer

Although we had a detailed project plan, almost all processes took longer than anticipated. For example, CE mark takes a month to go through if it runs smooth. Shipment of sample components from Italy or China easily takes two weeks of just waiting. We wanted to test all components before ordering and prioritized the wait for samples. We also had a big Chinese company suing us for infringement on their trademark - it took us 8 months of back and forth with lawyers. Luckily, we won the case.

Where we are now

We have just got the CE approval and we are awaiting the delivery of batteries and electronics in week 49. From there on only assembly is left. This is done here in Copenhagen, and we will have full control on this part. Shipment of the speakers will be from here as well. We have loads of cabinets, woofers and tweeters that are just waiting to be shipped.
Curious on how our mould for the cabinet looks like? See below.

Fundraising

We are also fundraising at the moment. When we’ve closed all your backers orders we want to develop further. This requires capital, and to to be able to keep going with the ambitions that we have, we need to do that fundraising now.
If you’re an active investor, or know someone who has a passion for innovative audio and lifestyle products, let them know that we’re still open for dialogue.

We look so much forward to shipping

All the best to all of you and thanks for your patience - you make all this possible and we are extremely grateful for your support. A very humble THANK YOU 🖤🙏

One of our suppliers has just shut down production due to Covid-19! Therefore, we expect a set back of 2 weeks. The final components will thus be with us on November 18 - hopefully. This was not part of the plan and we are really annoyed about it.

17 October 2022

Hi all backers, pre-orders & friends

Just a brief update from our side as all our components are being delivered. We are getting ready for assembly and mass production will be started as soon as we receive the final components which should be on November 4 (fingers crossed).

Acoustic damping

We have also been finalizing the solution for acoustic damping. A smooth piece of foam that is custom fitted to the inside of the cabinet. The foam is significant for the acoustics and supports the delivery of clarity, depth and fullness of the sound.

Testing of series 0

The first prototypes are out, and we have spent a couple of weeks doing small adjustments in the firmware and tuned the acoustics further. This is an ongoing process, and we will continue improving and adding new features to the firmware. These features and adjustments will be updated on a continuous basis via the app.

We will get back to you with further update as we get closer to finally shipping the first speakers. Thanks for your patience 🙏

Hi all backers, pre-orders & friends
Here is an update on where we are right now and what is to come.

Ramping up for mass production

Production is well under way. We’ve made tools and jigs for the various processes. We’re gaining more and more confidence in the production, and ironing out kinks and quirks — primarily tolerance issues and small design changes that enables for better, easier and faster production.
A great part of the hardware for mass production has been delivered. However, few parts are awaiting delivery although they have been ordered. We were supposed to receive the last parts at this point but due to increased demand / low capacity in the market for electronics in general we expect another 3-4 weeks before starting mass production.

Series 0 ready for testing

Series 0 has been finalized and is now out for testing. The coming weeks - we'll get feedback in order to adjust details and functionalities further. We have prioritized for a testing period to ensure proper performance and that we can fix possible issues mainly in the firmware. We will, however, do firmware updates on a regular basis onwards as our technology allows us to for example finetune the audio performance, improve and add functionalities in the app, and update any functionalities on the control panel. The firmware will be developed on a continious basis and can be updated via the app. It will thus be possible for you to update the speaker over-the-air via a simple app update.
